How Falkland Islands keeps time.
Stanley kept local mean time (about UTC−03:51) until 1912, when the Falkland Islands adopted UTC−04:00. Summer time (UTC−03:00) was used from 1937 to 1942. From 1983 to 1985 standard time was UTC−03:00, with summer time at UTC−02:00, before the islands returned to UTC−04:00 with summer time at UTC−03:00. Summer time began as usual in September 2010 and was never ended, so the islands have been on UTC−03:00 all year since.
